How to stay motivated to workout from home


To achieve success while working from home transcends beyond having a good idea and strong motivation. In as much as working from home can be a perfect solution for some of us, it can be a double-edged sword for others if not managed well. One thing most people seem to neglect while running a home-based job is to exercise. The current Covid-19 pandemic never seems to help matters. With all gyms temporarily closed and the social distancing code, trying to keep fit this period can be challenging. But hey, all hope is not lost, there are still exciting ways to keep fit while working from home, even in the heat of this pandemic.
True enough, the lockdown may have posed enormous difficulty for you. The zeal to exercise may be sapped out of you, but you don’t have to feel defeated yet. On the brighter side, you can still find the motivation to workout, just in the comfort of your own home! Exciting as it goes, here are such tips to keep you rolling.
 
Stick To Routine
 
Even amid the sudden global change in human activities, that should never make you lose your cool. Even with each day looking no different from the next and weekdays flow into weekends, as you spend most of your time at home, more than you’d never done before maintaining your sanity, and sticking to your routine is the vaccine. Always make a plan for every day. Having a clear plan for the day and a determination to stick to it is the best way to start your day.
 
Schedule Time For A Workout
 
Having a plan is crucial to accomplishing everything you set out to do. Creating a plan is the best way to keep track of your priorities; it also ensures that nothing important is missed out or under-valued. While working at home can be so much fun once you get used to it, more often than not, you may tend to miss out on some activities. Whether significant or not much significant. It is therefore pertinent for you to start each day setting out priorities and sticking to them till the end of the day. Always work with time. That way, you’d never have to miss out on your workout routine. Practice this until it becomes a habit.
 
Make Space In Your Home
 
Now that you’re going to be working from home, you should make space not only for your home office but for workouts. This specially designated space in your home for exercise will always serve to remind you every day to exercise. They can never be better motivation than that. You don’t need to move your furniture around every time you’ve to work out. Even with a simple mat spread of the floor, there’s a magic pull that compels you to get down to work every time you step into this workout space.
 
Keep It Simple
 
Regular exercises can help you ward off-depression in these trying times. So take it seriously! Some simple workouts you should try from the comfort of your home include;
Simple stretches

Yoga
Press-ups
Crab walks
Push up
